Conditions of use
The Scout Association, while willing to take responsibility for claims arising from the negligence of its Members, Servants or Agents, cannot entertain claims arising from fault or negligence on the part of the hirer, their Servants or Agents, nor from defects in the land.
The Scout Association has in force a Commercial Combined Insurance Policy with Atrium Underwriters Ltd Syndicate 609 at Lloyds Policy Number: B602310000CF22 569852576
Before a group can use the hall a member of the group must read the Fire Safety Procedures as displayed on the hall notice board. That group member is then responsible for briefing the other members of the group. The briefing must include, the layout of the hall including the location of the emergency exits and fire safety equipment.
They must agree to:
- Collect and return keys as agreed.
- All rubbish to be taken away from the hall
- Replace all equipment used to its correct location.
- Ensure that the kitchen, toilets and main hall are left clean.
- Replace all furniture as found.
- Before you exit the building check that the front door, kitchen door and all windows are locked and secure.
- Turn heating OFF on the 2 thermostats in main hall or turn down as advised.
- Turn off all lights.
- Ensure the fire exit door is closed and cannot be opened from the outside.
- Report any damages or breakages to person who took your booking.
- Access to emergency exits must be kept clear of any obstruction.
- The front doors must be unlocked whilst the hall is in use.
- Fire doors must be kept shut.
- Electrical equipment must be switched off where appropriate unplugged before leaving the hall.
Cancellation Policy applies to all users of the Hall. Please give at least 48 hours notification that you would like to cancel your booking. Email, phone or messenger.
NB: All damages and breakages will be charged for.
