Thinking Day and Founder’s Day 22nd February was celebrated by the Mull Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts when everyone came together at the Church of Scotland for morning worship. The units all took part in the service and the Brownies were joined by the Sunday Club singing “He’s got the Whole World in his Hands”. Thank you to the Rev Paton and the congregation for a warm welcome and uplifting service.
After church we went along to our hall for an afternoon of games and activities from around the world.
We also had a surprise visitor, our councillor Mary- Jean Devon called in to present a cheque for £10,000 from the Kenny McIntyre Memorial Fund to go towards the cost of our New Hall.
Our day finished with the lighting of candles for children around the world and campfire songs.
Everyone left with a thinking day and scouting badge and a slice of our world cake baked especially by Rainbow and Scout mum Joyce Malcolm.
A great day was had by all.
